FAQ’s

We are in Birstwith, a small Nidderdale village near Harrogate in beautiful North Yorkshire about 3 miles from the A59.

Birstwith is 7 miles from Harrogate, 9 miles from Knaresborough,10 miles from Pateley Bridge, 20 miles from Skipton, 25 miles from York so there is plenty to do and see all year round.

We are at the end of a beautiful country lane and easy to find with ample parking. Our site is around 16 acres and is home to our two pet Highland Cattle and four Alpacas who are friendly and enjoy the attention from visitors to the village.

Both our shepherds huts are individually sited on the old Nidd Valley railway line at the bottom of our peaceful private woodland with stunning views overlooking fields and the River Nidd.

Being in a countryside village we are respectful of our neighbours, wildlife and surroundings therefore are a quiet site offering a relaxing retreat.

The country lanes and fields are perfect for walking and cycling, as long or short as you like.

Our village, Birstwith, has a fabulous pub The Station Hotel (www.station-hotel.net) which serves food 7 days a week and is just a short walk through our field or down Nidd Lane. There is also the award winning village shop Dale Stores (www.dalestores.co.uk) which has a huge range of products including locally sourced fresh produce delivered daily.
